Tyron Picard is the Founder and Managing Partner of The Picard Group. Picard has developed a proven record of bipartisan legislative accomplishments on the state and federal levels. He was appointed to serve on the transition teams of two incoming Louisiana governors in 2003 and 2007 (Democrat and Republican), as well as numerous fundraising committees for officials at the state and federal level.
Prior to founding The Picard Group in 2011, Picard served for 12 years as Executive Vice President and a Board Member for the Acadian Companies, which includes Acadian Ambulance. During his 12-year tenure, Acadian grew from 600 employees to over 3,000 employees and from $70 million in sales to $350 million in sales.
Picard has actively developed the firm’s full integration platform to meet client needs both vertically (local, state and federal levels) and horizontally (regulatory, legislative and executive branch lobbying), as well as strategic business consulting. For four consecutive years, 2020 through 2023, Bloomberg Government named the firm a “top-performing lobbying firm” and the “4th fastest growing firm of its 2020 top-performing firms.” The Picard Group represents over 75 clients, including Fortune 500 companies in the areas of healthcare, aviation, shipping, technology, energy, industrial construction, gaming and more. Using Picard’s unique business background and political experience, the firm has also represented a number of successful private equity firms that are invested in highly regulated businesses across the United States.
Picard was recently appointed to the Foundation for Louisiana Culture, Recreation, and Tourism by Lieutenant Governor Billy Nungesser and also serves on the Ochsner Lafayette General Foundation Board of Directors. He previously served as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Council for A Better Louisiana (CABL), the state’s premier business leader roundtable. He is also active in numerous Louisiana civic organizations, including the Committee of 100 for Economic Development, Catholic Charities of Acadiana, and has been a longtime Board Member of the LSU Tiger Athletic Foundation. Most recently, he was selected in 2021, 2022, and 2023 as the “Best Governmental Affairs Lawyer” by Acadiana Profile magazine.
A native of Maurice, Louisiana, Picard is a graduate of Vermilion Catholic High School, LSU (B.A. Political Science), and Tulane University School of Law (Cum Laude, 1990). Picard is married to the former Elizabeth Guglielmo, and they have two sons.
