David Koke serves as Director of Governmental Affairs at The Picard Group. Prior to The Picard Group, Koke worked in Baton Rouge, gaining valuable insight into the legislative process and state government operations. Koke served on the committee staff for the Natural Resources Committee; Agricultural, Forestry, Aquaculture and Rural Development Committee; and Ways & Means Committee in the Louisiana House of Representatives. In addition to his work in the legislature, he has assisted on a number of election campaigns through advocacy, marketing, and fundraising efforts.
Throughout his time as a legislative staffer, Koke gained four years of building relationships, knowledge, and experience while working at the Louisiana Capitol. He is well versed with issues including the capital outlay process, tax legislation, and conservation of state resources.
Koke graduated from Louisiana State University with a bachelor’s degree in Finance. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Acadiana and One Acadiana, the region’s economic development organization. He is a member of the705 and participates in fundraising efforts for the Muscular Dystrophy Association. He resides in Lafayette.
